KiteBar comes with a easy and detailed default configuration file.
Each set of boss-bars ("bossbar group") has a seperate configuration file:
Above, the main configuration file and messages customisation file are shown. as well as the three default bossbar groups, 'default'. 'example2', 'example3' shown in the 'bossbars' directory.
Below each default configuration file is shown:
Spoiler: Main Configuration File: config.yml
Spoiler: Messages Configuration - messages.yml
Spoiler: Default board group 1 - default.yml
Spoiler: Default bar group 2 - example2.yml
Spoiler: Default bar group 3 - example3.yml
Configuration explanation:
default: true/false - makes this bar show to players without need for permission.
importance: (number) - determines which bar should be shown when a player has permission for more than one group. Higher importance means it will override lower importance bar groups.
Each configuration section (e.g bar-one) in 'content' represents a single bossbar within the group. 'bar-one' can be renamed to anything as long as its a unique name within that bar group.
Each bossbar configuration section has options to customise its appearance.
frames: this is a list of text to show on the bossbar.
interval: this is the time (in ticks) to refresh the text. 20 Ticks = 1 second.
When using animation tags such as scroller, glow and pulse you would want the refresh rate to be around 2-4 ticks. Although this is very fast it has been thoroughly tested and proven to cause minimal lag. Lag may be caused if refreshing placeholders very fast (1 tick) Using asyncrounous tasking (configuration options) will stop any significant delay to the main server thread. Although you may want to have 4 or more cores to fully take advantage of this.
