Building a turn of the century version of Omaha Nebraska - Help Wanted

Hello! I’m working on building a turn-of-the-century city in Minecraft based on Omaha, Nebraska around 1910 (pre-1913 tornado). I’m currently in the phase of drawing up a city plan/layout. The total size will be about 3/16 the area of the real city at the time. Districts will be compressed but still recognizable, while individual buildings and structures will follow the scale listed below.

Scale:
100 feet in real life = 75 blocks in Minecraft.
Example: a 20x20 ft house IRL becomes 15x15 blocks in-game.

Build Style:

  • Houses will be explorable with semi-detailed interiors (walls, fireplaces, stairs, etc.).
  • Streets and landmarks will be compressed where needed, but major features will be represented.
  • Buildings should reference real structures whenever possible (Zillow and archives are great sources).
  • In the screenshots you can see some mini-mansions I’ve already built and what I’m looking for in terms of style. They don’t need to be nearly as detailed on the inside.(Side note the screenshots you see are from a similar but defunct build)

Districts Planned:
Downtown

  • Old Market
  • Warehouse/Factory District
  • 16th Street area (Omaha Building, Courthouse, Woodmen of the World Tower, etc.)

Gold Coast / Blackstone

  • Joslyn Castle neighborhood
  • Blackstone
  • Bemis Park
  • Walnut Hill water works

North Omaha

  • Florence
  • Fort Omaha
  • Miller Park
  • Mormon settlement site

South Omaha

  • Hanscom Park
  • Field Club
  • Gerald Ford Birthplace
  • Henry Doorly Zoo
  • Little Italy
  • Vinton Street District
  • Spring Lake

Outer Settlements

  • Dundee / Elmwood
  • Council Bluffs across the river
  • Millard and or Benson
  • Rural farm homes

Notable Features:

  • Saddle Creek (historic creek, now a road) – will serve as the western and southern boundaries.
  • Missouri River – eastern boundary.
  • Fort Omaha – northern boundary.
  • Farmland and hills/mountains beyond city edges to create a sense of “end of the world.”

References:
I’ve already collected maps, historic photos, and house references, and I’ll share them with anyone who wants to help so we stay consistent.

I’d also love help figuring out how to set up a server, or even preparing a prefab world in WorldPainter to get the terrain right before we dive into builds.

Any help is a lot of help!
