does magic find still work if looting raises a drop chance above 5 percent?

hi, i have a question about how looting and magic find interact in specific cases.


i want to farm bronze bowls, which have a 4.5 percent drop chance from the dumpster diver. i know that looting increases the drop chance by 15 percent per level, so with looting 3 it becomes 4.5 percent times 1.45, which is 6.525 percent.


my question is about magic find. according to the wiki, magic find only applies to drops that have less than 5 percent drop chance. now i am wondering: if looting...
