Eman hit phase

So I am going to get into eman slayer (note: I just need more money for spoon and higher tier crimson). One thing that is really hard to do for me is getting through the hits phase without losing health/crimson stacks. Should I get rev 7 for reaper scythe and use explosive arrows for quicker hits phase? Also how much mp and how high mana pool attributes do I need ? I currently deal 5m+ with yeti sword and swipe combined.
