/execute command doesn't work?

I am attempting to check if a player has a custom item in their inventory and then give them money using the essentials economy command. However when I run /execute if entity @a[nbt={Inventory:[{tag:{CUSTOM:{type:done}}}]}] as @a[nbt={Inventory:[{tag:{CUSTOM:{type:done}}}]},limit=1] run eco give * 1000 It doesn't register the eco command. /execute run eco give ** 1000 doesn't work either. Any idea what could be causing this?
