How I would go about fixing (nerfing) Crimson Armor

Crimson Armor in it's current state is a bit well broken. The slash does ridiculous damage and because it's magic damage for some reason it's also used as a cheap rcm set. I think Crimson Armor (mostly just the slash) needs to be nerfed or reworked to make it more melee focused while also trying to maintain parts of why it's so useful right now.
