Content creators post some amazing builds to the sub, and in return they get a place to advertise their channel. Of course, not everyone wants to sit through a YouTube video when browsing Reddit.
As a compromise, we ask content creators to post a good screenshot of their build. Then they can advertise in the comments. Casual viewers get an image of the build, and people who want to watch the video can follow the link in the comments.
Post a high quality screenshot of your build, then you may post a link to your channel in the comments section.
Take a screenshot from a good angle, upload the image at full resolution and don't go too crazy with watermarks. People should be able to enjoy the post without clicking your channel link.
People who just want to browse /r/MinecraftBuilds get extra content that they can enjoy without leaving Reddit. These people upvote your post, and your channel link becomes more visible. Everyone wins.
YouTubers that post to /r/MinecraftBuilds can request a spiffy flair to go next to their name. This will show off your channel name so people can more easily find it.
To qualify for the flair, you must meet a few requirements:
If you meet these requirements, shoot us a modmail and we will give you a flair.
Occasionally, we may give out flairs to exceptionally high quality creators that don't meet the requirements. If you think you qualify, feel free to ask. We don't bite.
Anyone can advertise their YouTube channel in the comments section of their own posts. These requirements are just for the flair.
/r/MinecraftBuilds is focused on a kid's game. Any channels that are not Minecraft-related, or post content that is not safe for work, should not be linked here. This includes social media communities like Discord and Facebook. Basically, it a child could follow your link and quickly see something inappropriate, don't recruit here.
