How to kick inactive coop member in 2 player coop

I had a coop with my friend but he has been inactive for a while now and I wanted to start playing with another friend that wanted to start. I tried adding him to the coop but it said that the other coop member needs to be online to accept the new member. I've seen that in coopmanage a player can be kicked after 35 days of inactivity but coopkick doesn't work. Does anyone have any solutions?
