Is it me or Minecraft Bedrock edition feels so much harder than Java?

Bedrock survival is a nightmare for me. I feel like in Java edition hostile mobs spawn a lot less and also it takes DAYS to regenerate your health in Bedrock. Why can't they make them both equally difficult? Not to mention the bugs in bedrock edition as well. I easily beat Java edition but in Bedrock i can't even survive a nether fortress
