Looking for ideas.... an array of RM custom fields? (aka: how to handle collections as a resource)

I'm looking for ideas on how to best handle a a resource download that is a collection. By collection I mean the download might be a zip file that has multiple ebooks and each ebook can be for a different author, category, and short description.

As part of having the collection as a download in RM my ideal scenario would be being able to search on a value like the author name and returning a list of all RM items that have the author has one of items in its collection or being able to...
