Lunar client fullscreen not working (on macbook air m2)

I play on an m2 macbook air and whenever i launch lunar the screen blacks out for a second and then full-screens. I can't go to other apps or do anything or use any shortcuts apart from command q. Basically I can't do anything on my mac apart from playing minecraft till I close it. When i press f11 i can leave full screen but when i return to full screen i can still control my mac but a strip of the screen at the stop is occupied and when i join a world the strip truns white and starts flashing.
