My friend wants to deal more damage

My friend (borkiscool) wants to get a floor 7 comp to use wither armor. However, he doesn’t even one shot mobs in f5 (possibly not f4 either). Are there any good ways for him to increase damage other than mp and leveling up combat and catacombs level?
