Nintendo has exciting news for Splatoon 3 players, as a new feature called "Tournament Manager" is set to enhance the multiplayer experience of the popular third-person shooter. Since its release in September 2022, Splatoon 3 has garnered immense popularity among fans and critics, becoming Japan's most downloaded Switch game in the same year. Nintendo continues to invest in the game's development with regular updates, and Tournament Manager is the latest addition in the pipeline.

The Tournament Manager service aims to streamline the process of organizing and conducting private competitions within Splatoon 3. The upcoming feature will offer support for creating competition brackets, managing round progression, and automating the setup of Private Battle rooms for tournaments. Additionally, it will provide automatic reports of match results, making it easier for players to keep track of their performance.

While Nintendo has yet to reveal all the specifics of Tournament Manager's functionality, the company confirmed that the service will be integrated with the SplatNet 3 app, forming a seamless link between players and their private competitions.

The Japanese branch of Nintendo teased the upcoming feature with a unique logo for Tournament Manager, featuring a shield-shaped emblem with the iconic yellow squid from the Splatoon 3 logo flanked by two yellow arrows curving upward.

Although the full details regarding offline capabilities have not been explicitly confirmed, it is presumed that Tournament Manager will offer offline functionality. Splatoon 3 already provides limited offline multiplayer support in its Salmon Run and Turf War modes, allowing for local co-op play. However, the absence of split-screen multiplayer means that each player requires their own Nintendo Switch console, a characteristic that has been consistent since the series' inception with the original game for the Wii U in 2015.

As the Tournament Manager feature is still in development, Nintendo fans can look forward to more updates and an official release date in the near future. With this promising addition, Splatoon 3 continues to evolve as a dynamic and engaging multiplayer experience for players worldwide.
