One-tap kills in lucky blocks after the update

this is the second time i encounter someone killing people with a single swing. the first time the guy had some diamond sword, this time it was the axe of pierun. it seems that both times they had some sort of a potion effect on them. they did not have the rage chestplate. can the op potion just grant incredibly high levels of strenght or something? i remember spectating the first guy, and after killing a few guys he stopped one-tapping, so its definitely some potion effect.
