Should i continue farming or spend money on fishing?

I have about a 230m purse and I can sell my farming gear for another 200-250m.should I spend this money for a good fishing setup now that the bayou update is out or spend my purse on farming gear?. How long would it take to progress in fishing enough to be able to make good money?
