should i go for hype or term first?

unsure on which one of these i should focus harder on grinding out. would just go for hype but not super keen on getting all the money needed and dont really want to play mage. but ive heard that all around hype is much better for progression than term. and if i decide to get term what kinda mp and setup should i have before i even consider it?
