“Soulflow generation doesn’t depend on base minion speed” is this true?

Wiki page on soulflow engines says that it doesn’t depend on minion base speed. Does this mean that a t1 vampire minion and a t11 slime minion would generate the same amount of soulflow provided they had the same upgrades and everything? Does it work?

I ask because I’ve been running t10-11 vampire minions with flycatchers but supposedly soulflow engines would be like 30% more profit for only a ~150m upgrade
