Tank setup help

So while I know tanks aren't a really needed thing in this game I enjoy making myself a brick wall and I haven't played this game in a while, any suggestions or tips on new things that have been added for tanks in the past few years? I know Fervor armor had an update a bit ago and was planning on maxing out a set but anything else?
Also I don't have an Astraea yet which is also on the list.
