 | Hotel Spectra is the fourth hotel I've made on this world, in that same spot, since I built my first, the Fox Hotel in 2017. I demolished the third hotel, Hotel Azura, earlier this year and set out to make a fourth, ultimate hotel that will stand the test of time. Going into designing it, I wanted to make this one with a few things in mind. 1) I wanted a more dynamic shape than just a box with straight lines 2) This needed to be the biggest one yet, both in width, depth, height, and room count (ended up being 270, 200 more than the last one). 3) I wanted to make a column of space going all the way up the building, so you could get a sense of how tall and intricate the building is from any floor. I ended up achieving all this, and wanted to throw a few homages in there. The rainbow colour scheme harkens back to the design of my first hotel and made the floors a hell of a lot more interesting both to design and look at. If you look close enough at my new lobby, you can see a series of micro-builds that show the visual evolution of the hotels before this one. And my personal favourite, the three white lines going across the front of the building. They may seem out of place at first, but they actually represent the heights of my three previous hotels, so you can see the increase in scale every time. I hope you like this new hotel, it's definitely one of my favourite builds I've ever done and will most likely be the final one I build there!
