Voidgloom beacons may be too strict.

Not as in time or damage, but as in radius.

I've been doing a few tier 2 Voidgloom Seraphs today, and I noticed some of the beacons wouldn't activate after a while clicking on them. I was one block away horizontally (in one direction) and one vertically, and yet, they only activated when I jumped to be on the same Y coordinate. Basically, based on the image, the beacon would only deactivate if it was at the position of a green wool block. Not red ones.

Is the range supposed to be that low...
