Whack farming input registration bug

Every time I farm there's a chance I get this weird bug where it won't register my input very well - I have a video but I can't attach it so best explanation without the video is it randomly starts and stops breaking. I have no idea how to consistently recreate it or how to even consistently stop it - it just pops up and goes away whenever it feels like it. Anyone experience something similar and have any idea what causes it and how to fix it?
