What should I do with Summoning Eyes?

I've been grinding summoning eyes because I want to get better gear and more money for a better mining setup. My Co-op wants to use the ender eyes (im grinding towards our eighth at this moment, 4 each) to summon dragons and get gear. I want to sell them, they seem like there worth more than the loot you can get (besides superiour). Was wondering what I should do.
