What's the deal with Automaton Parts?

This update has had a lot of problems, and this may not be a huge one, but I still think its one nonetheless; why are the precursor parts individual anymore?

This update recently got rid of the last individual uses for the parts, now that Precursor Apparatuses are used in forge recipes, and can even substitute for nucleus runs instead of each individual part. Individual parts no longer have any use on their own. All of the individual prices are getting closer together as its stabilizing...
