Why did Hypixel do this?

So.... there are a lot of items in SkyBlock. Only 10% of those items are actually useful in progression. Almost all of the other items are useless and almost never used, regardless of game stage. (Some of them were meta in 2019 but became useless over time)

Why did Hypixel just abandon all the remaining items?
