ULTRA Boat of San Paolino 1.0.0

The Boat of San Paolino is another important symbol of the Festa dei Gigli in Nola. This tradition is part of the celebration in honor of San Paolino, the patron saint of the city. The boat represents the journey of the saint, who, according to legend, returned to Nola by boat after a period of exile.

During the festival, a large boat-shaped structure is set up, decorated with flowers and lights, which is carried in procession together with the lilies. The boat is often accompanied by songs and dances, creating a festive and engaging atmosphere.

The presence of the boat is a way to remember and celebrate the life and works of San Paolino, but it is also an element that unites the community in the preparation and participation in the festival. Like the lilies, the boat is also carried on the shoulders of the "giglianti", the participants who enthusiastically dedicate themselves to this centuries-old tradition.
