David and Lisra had failed to stop the resurrection of Malrus’s physical form. In a last ditch effort to hinder the demon king, Lisra sacrificed herself, using the mystical power stored within her to cripple Malrus. David was devastated, but he was determined to see their mission through to the end. He would avenge her and destroy the demon king, even if it meant finally breaking his no-killing code. One of the heads of the Ender’s Eye, a Rened elite warrior named Enoch, was the first to challenge him.
