Why is everyone buying obby!?!?

So I was in 5 doubles games today, and in every game at least 1 team bought obby, making the game last at least till Emerald 3 or towards bed break, with several times up to 3 OTHER teams having obby like tf did hypixel up the emerald spawn rate why do i have to suffer thru this????????? Is anyone else seeing this happen to then as well??
